Terms of Service

Last updated October 29, 2026

Generic template, not legal advice. It is not tailored to your business, location, or industry. Replace the operator name, email, and any jurisdiction language with your own, and have a lawyer review it before you rely on it — especially if you sell anything or collect customer information.

The agreement

These terms are a generic template for a simple public website. By using this site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site. They cover the pages at this domain, including the homepage, these terms, and the privacy policy.

The operator

The site is operated by Northroom (“we”, “us”). The public name on the page is Northroom. Contact: hello@northroom.studio. Before you publish, replace that name and email with the legal name and a mailbox you actually read.

What the site is

The site is informational. It does not create an account, take payment, or form a client relationship. Sending a note, including through the contact form, is an invitation to talk. A project starts only when both sides agree in a separate writing.

Nothing on the site is legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. The terms and privacy policy are examples, not a recommendation for your situation.

Acceptable use

You may read the site and share links to it. You may not:

  • break, probe, or overload the site, or try to get around its limits;
  • copy the page and present it as your own;
  • use the site for anything unlawful, or to send malware or abusive messages;
  • scrape it in a way that degrades it for other people.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, name, and photograph are owned by the operator or used with permission. You keep ownership of anything you send us. You give us permission to use that message only to reply and, if we later agree, to do the work you asked for.

Third-party services

The contact form opens your own email application. It does not send the message to a server we run. Your email provider, and the company that hosts this website, have their own terms. Links that leave this site, if we add any, are outside these terms.

Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We may change or remove it at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Northroom is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for a claim about the site is limited to the amount you paid us to use it in the three months before the claim, or zero if you paid nothing.

Some places do not allow these limits. If that is the law where you live, the limits apply only as far as that law allows. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence where the law forbids that exclusion.

Law and disputes

This template does not choose a court. Before you rely on it, name the state or country whose law should apply and have a lawyer confirm the sentence. Until you do, these terms are meant to be read under the laws of the place where the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where a consumer law cannot be waived.

Please write to us before starting a formal dispute. We would rather fix a problem than argue about it.

Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the date above. If you keep using the site after that, you are agreeing to the updated terms. If a change is not acceptable, stop using the site.
